Tiny Kitchens with Big Hearts
I love cooking and, therefore, I love organizing kitchens! This kitchen was a snowy day project. While it snowed outside, a sweet little pup named Preston kept me company insideš¶ Preston had a cabinet of treats and toys all to himself, so I am certain he was excited to see how I would organize his personal pantry!
My client needed help unpacking and utilizing space in her tiny kitchen. Cabinets built in the 1960s just arenāt as big they are today! Given the tricky dimensions of her cabinets, and only TWO draws in the entire kitchen, I had to rely on organizing techniques that didnāt require bins, baskets, or drawer dividers. I discovered that Lazy Susans were extremely helpful (not lazy at all, actually! š ), and creating āzonesā for baking, breakfast, and dinner was helpful as well.
In about 4 hours (and with 3 new inches of snow on the ground), every box was unpacked and everything in her kitchen, including her extensive baking supplies, had a home. I preserved Prestonās cabinet, but put the treats front and center with the dog toys. Having the kitchen unpacked and organized made it feel so cozy, especially with the cold weather outside. It made me want to go home and do some baking of my own, and that is exactly what I did! Kitchens are the heart of the home, after all, and this adorable kitchen is no exception. ā¤ļø
