This closet space was dream to design and bring to life! With an exquisitely colorful wardrobe, this client needed an organized clothing system for his loft bedroom. We were able to give him a boutique-style closet that would add to his bedroom, and make it feel peaceful, calm, and full of warmth.

Finally! It’s here! I am thrilled to share my own personal home office transformation with you! Since many of us are still working from home, our home office space continues to be incredibly important.

It’s been about a week since we rang in the new year and welcomed 2021 full of hope, excitement, and resolutions. With a new year comes an opportunity to wipe the slate clean and start fresh! Personally, I love the symbolism of New Year’s Eve and, truly, nothing feels better than a Clean Slate.

Oh, I love a good closet makeover! Nothing feels quite as good as getting rid of clothing you haven’t worn in years, or finally cutting ties with those “goal” pants that no longer fit you, or your lifestyle.

The kitchen is the heart of the home. It is where we go for nourishment, our morning cup of coffee, where we share with friends & family, and where we all end up at the end of a fun dinner party. The heart of your home should feel warm, easy, and stress free.

If we are lucky enough to have a finished basement, hopefully we are also lucky enough to have a kitchenette in said basement! My client had an amazing space that wasn’t being utilized to its full potential.

This project was so fun, because it was a surprise for one very lucky hubby! An avid cyclist, who loves to have ALL the gear, his bike room had gotten out of control and was overrun with miscellaneous tools, craft projects, and broken equipment.

This project is one of my favorites to date. Why? Because it was like spending the day in a treehouse! This kitchen is straight out of a fairytale in a home nestled deep in the mountains. Like many cottages and homes in fairytales, this kitchen was tiny, with unique cabinetry that was not designed for modern-sized plates and platters.

I love utilizing small space! I am a believer in doing a lot with a little, making the most of what you have, and making it count! This adorable kitchen has wonderful light and beautiful finishes, but also has shallow drawers and relatively limited pantry space.

Children need games, toys, books, and arts & crafts, but sometimes the toy room can get out of control. If you don’t have a designated toy room or toy area, it can become even more challenging to keep it all together and organized.

Setting up a functional home office is key for your productivity, sanity, and wellbeing. Now that we are all spending A LOT more time at home, I am delighted to share some tips with you to help make the most of it, and maybe even enjoy the luxury of a commute- free, private office space!

We all need to be washing our sheets once a week. Yes, the truth hurts! Washing our sheets each week can seem like a chore, but we all saw the household germ episode on Oprah many years ago, and that horror has not left our consciousness!

Many times, when we have vacation homes or cabins, they tend to be neglected for much of the year. They sit empty, until we are ready to enjoy them again when the season is right and the kids are out of school. Unfortunately, that also means that when we finally arrive at our vacation spot, one of the first things we have to do is clean. That is no way to start a vacation!

Here we are, living in this strange new normal. “Shelter in place” and “self-quarantine” have become new group activities, and Zoom has become a nightly happy hour hangout. How is everyone handling it so far?

I love working with bigger companies to get their workflow and workspaces organized and able to achieve maximum productivity. When a team is able to work in a clean space, and able to take care of their work environment, productivity soar and stress goes away.

My client Andrea loves magic, and each session with her is magical! The way she has chosen to create space for the life she deserves is unparalleled. When she waves the Clean Slate Magic Wand, tremendous transformations take place, and this transformation was no different!

Closets are crucial! We all use them each morning at the start of our day. Knowing where your clothes are, what’s clean, and what fabulous pieces you have can be the difference between feeling great all day, or feeling disheveled and unkempt.

Creative expression is so important for our happiness and stress levels. Having a creative outlet can boost self-esteem, energy, overall feelings of wellbeing, and help us wind down, de-stress, and find a little peace.

This was such a fun project! I love surprises, and for this family, a new pantry was in store for mom. While she was on a work trip, her adorable husband had arranged for California Closets to come in a build out their pantry.
