New Year, New You?
Happy New Year!
It’s been about a week since we rang in the new year and welcomed 2021 full of hope, excitement, and resolutions. With a new year comes an opportunity to wipe the slate clean and start fresh! Personally, I love the symbolism of New Year’s Eve and, truly, nothing feels better than a Clean Slate. It gives us the freedom to breathe and make choices about how we want to change and move forward with a new energy, new goals, and renewed commitment. And that’s the key: commitment.
It can be difficult to commit to something that will only produce results down the line: exercise, nighttime routines, meditation. We have become a culture of instant satisfaction, instant rewards, instant delivery, even instant mashed potatoes! In a culture that is so saturated with instant pleasure, how do we commit to not-so-instant changes?
The ability to commit comes from having a clear vision, being specific about your wants and goals, and being flexible towards how those goals may change and grow along your journey. One must trust that the work they are putting in, and the goals they have in mind, will all be worth it. That the dream will become a reality.
With many of my clients, that's where I come in: the visionary! The “waver of the magic wand”, if you will. I am able to visualize a space completely transformed, know how it will impact your life and daily routine, and how it will support your larger goals and aspirations. I know the best place for your items, how to best utilize a space, and the most efficient storage solutions. When it comes to creating space, it is one of my gifts, and one I take great pleasure in sharing with others.
Your space has a profound impact on your wellbeing, which includes happiness, peacefulness, energy, and productivity. Decluttering a space makes it easier for you to commit to other long-term goals, as it gives you room to breathe, think, and meet new challenges. The New Year is here, and there is no better time to clear the clutter and make space for the important stuff: family, fun, and YOU. What are you waiting for?
